Hello,
Welcome
to The Berean Council blog.
The
Berean Council Blog, as the name indicates, will have a bit more of a
theological bent. In other words, topics like Scripture Interpretation will
appear in addition to politics and other topics.
To
elaborate a little on the name of the blog, the term "Berean Council"
is taken from the following verses from the book of Acts:
Acts
17:10-11
10Then
the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When
they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11These were more
fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all
readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were
so.
Luke's point
here was the reaction of the Bereans to the Gospel; they searched the
Scriptures to see if it was true. It is my hope that here we can do the
same not only with the Scriptures but on issues of the day as well.
